Maricopa County Election Audit marred with setbacks

It stands to reason that if the election was indeed entirely legitimate in this populous county, those who claim so would be vindicated by a smoothly conducted forensic audit. I think if we have any hope of moving forward as a nation after last year’s train wreck of an election and transition period, a great place to start would be to get to the bottom of some of these claims.

It’s rather odd that we are constantly reassured that every aspect of the 2020 election was entirely safe, secure and kosher and yet the ongoing election audit process in Arizona’s Maricopa County seems to have been marred with confounding setbacks at every turn.

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has been battling with the Arizona State Senate since last year to prevent a forensic audit of November’s election, which was hotly contested by supporters of former President Donald Trump, the incumbent in what will no doubt go down as one of our most controversial elections.

In February, a judge ruled against their request to withhold the data that the state legislative body was demanding and a full forensic audit has been underway this month, although the audit team has faced as many roadblocks in obtaining the information they need as state lawmakers did when they originally sought it.

Now, Dominion Voting Machines, the election equipment and software firm that has been accused of essentially rigging the election for President Joe Biden, has quite a bit to gain from the revelation that their machines, which were used in Maricopa, were in no way manipulated or weighted to benefit the Democratic candidate.

After all, they’ve filed massive lawsuits against many of their most vocal critics, such as attorney Sidney Powell and My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell, both of whom have made very specific and bold claims against the firm.

Last week, former Republican Secretary of State Ken Bennett told One America News that the state Senate was told by Maricopa County officials that they did not have the necessary passwords to access Dominion machines used to scan ballots on November 3, 2020.

“They’ve told us that they don’t have that second password, or that they’ve given us all the passwords they have,” he said, speaking from the site of the audit in Phoenix, according to The Epoch Times.

On Wednesday, the team conducting the forensic audit alleged that they had discovered a directory of the full 2020 election databases had been deleted just days before Maricopa county election officials were set to hand over the necessary equipment to be examined.

This prompted Arizona Senate President Karen Fann to issue a letter to Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jack Sellers alleging quite a few concerns and discrepancies for which she demanded answers from the county.

The United States has “lost control” of its southern border and is on track to record more than two million migrants at the US-Mexico border by the end of the fiscal year according to Sky News host Rita Panahi.

An internal government estimates reviewed by CNN marked the record high migrant activity at the border as America experiences its worst border crisis in 20 years under the Biden administration.

“For years the media painted the Trump administration as monsters for enforcing border protection policies and for ‘putting children in cages’.” “But now as the detention centres fill to overflowing with children, with the situation so grim that some facilities are at 1,700% of capacity, the media has largely lost interest in the issue.”

Ms Panahi said under both Obama and Biden the “kids in cages” had become “migrant children in overflow facilities. Funny how that works.”

The humanitarian crisis that engulfed the border in 2018 occurred after President Andrés Manuel López Obrador took office in Mexico in December the same year.

His administration came into office pledging to adopt a more “humane” approach toward migration and wound up unleashing an inhumane situation at the border. It was only after President Donald Trump threatened to impose tariffs on cross-border trade that the Mexican government reversed course, and from then on the two countries cooperated closely to reduce the flows of third-country migrants across Mexico.

Opinion: PoliticalPuff

The number of migrant encounters that agents and officers logged along the U.S.-Mexico border in April reached the highest monthly total in nearly two decades.

Since Title 42 went into effect last March, the U.S. had turned away 754,645 migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border. That’s more than the population of three U.S. states and the District of Columbia.

The Biden administration is under intense pressure and scrutiny from legal and migrant advocacy groups to eliminate Title 42, amid criticism that U.S. officials indiscriminately expel individuals even if they have a valid claim to asylum.

Biden signalled in March that he wanted to expand the use of Title 42 to expel more families, drawing an immediate rebuke from the American Civil Liberties Union, who filed and put on pause a lawsuit challenging the public health rule in court in order to negotiate its removal with the Biden administration.

An Acute Case of Hypocrisy

What have we learned in 4 years and 100+ days, is that the Democrats suffer from an acute case of hypocrisy.

In January this year, we discovered that House Democrats actually support police. They are against mob violence. They believe in law and order. They believe in harsh punishment for rule breakers. They believe in accountability.

They care deeply about civility. They believe words matter. They abhor intemperate rhetoric. They are against coarse language. Fancy that.

They believe in a peaceful transition of power, at least this time, as opposed to 2016. They believe in the Electoral College. They believe in the legitimacy of the people’s vote.

They believe in walls, at least when it comes to protecting their own place of work. They even believe in bringing in the National Guard to quell civil unrest, at least when it comes to preserving their own peace.

They believe in guns, at least when their own safety is at risk.

They revere American history and institutional norms. They honor the Founding Fathers.

This is what we had learned back then while watching the Democrats in the House impeach President Trump for the second pointless time in 13 months.

Perhaps if Democrats had not normalized and encouraged violence when organized BLM-Antifa mobs began rampaging through the cities, the tragic events of Jan. 6 at the Capitol would not have occurred.

As Republican Rep. Pat Fallon of Texas said:

“Last summer the Antifa and BLM riots swept across our country. Businesses were destroyed, cities burned. It was not like the horrible hours we had on January 6. But rather, they went on for weeks and in some cases months.

Perhaps if Democrats had not weaponized the intelligence agencies to spy on Trump’s campaign, perhaps if they had not used the Steele dossier to undermine the legitimacy of his presidency and accuse him of colluding with Russia to rig the 2016 election, perhaps if they had not hobbled his administration with the three-year Mueller investigation, perhaps more Trump voters would have been willing to accept the legitimacy of a Biden presidency.

Perhaps if Dems had not already launched a spiteful partisan impeachment last year, their efforts to highlight the president’s shortcomings would have fallen on fewer deaf ears this time.

As Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio said, it took just 19 minutes into Trump’s presidency for the Washington Post to trumpet: “Campaign to impeach President Trump has begun.”

“And now with just one week left,” Jordan said Wednesday, “they’re still trying.”

Perhaps if Dems had reflected on their own culpability in the attempted assassination of Republican Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana by a Bernie Sanders supporter, their sanctimonious lectures Wednesday would be more credible.

“I’ve seen the evil of political violence first-hand and it needs to stop,” Scalise said Wednesday. “But all of us need to be unequivocal calling it out when we see it, not just when it comes from the other side of the aisle.”

Perhaps if Joe Biden had not spent two years muscling up to Trump, with threats like “I’d smack him in the mouth” and “I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him,” Biden’s pitch for civility might be more palatable.

Perhaps if Democrats had not spent the last four years calling Trump a dictator, authoritarian, Nazi, Hitler, white supremacist, anti-Semite, bigot, racist, hater, dangerous, demented and insane, then perhaps … just perhaps.

Biden had called Trumps Travel Restrictions as Hysterical Xenophobia

Watch the video where Joe Biden labels Trumps action to block travellers from China as ‘hysterical xenophobia’.

How does he explain his own actions with India?

President Joe Biden will restrict travel from India starting Tuesday on the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as India battles a deadly second wave of coronavirus infections.

In January, Biden issued a similar ban on most non-US citizens entering the country who have recently been in South Africa.

He also reimposed an entry ban on nearly all non-US travellers who have been in Brazil, the United Kingdom, Ireland and 26 countries in Europe that allow travel across open borders.

China and Iran are also covered by the policy.

The policy means most non-US citizens who have been in one of the stated countries within the past 14 days are not eligible to travel to the United States.

Permanent US residents and family members and some other non-US citizens, such as students, are exempted.

The policy will not apply to American citizens, lawful permanent residents or other exempted individuals, according to a White House official. People in those categories will still have to test negative prior to travel, quarantine if unvaccinated and retest as negative upon entering the U.S., as is required for all international travellers.
